Review:The Palazzo is a stunning hotel. We stayed in a King Suite on the concierge level over the first weekend in January.
The next time you go to Vegas, pay a little more and upgrade to the room category that gives you access to the open-bar lounge. This was well worth the investment: hosted drinks, appetizers and desserts in the evenings and hosted breakfast in the morning. Plus, we didn't wait in the check-in line in the lobby; we walked straight up to the 23rd floor and checked in with no wait.
Anyway, back to the Palazzo: luxurious finishes, huge shower, separate bath tub, remote control window coverings, flatscreen TVs, mini bar, DVD player (this might be a concierge category amenity). Good service. One person in our party had a problem and it was taken care of quite fairly.
Great location, although anywhere in the heart of the Strip is pretty good. The hotel has shops and restaurants and you can also walk next door to the Venetian, which has more shops and restaurants.
Regretably, I never checked out the Palazzo's pool area because it was freezing cold while we were there.
